Madeline and Shelby's playdate

Madeline had her first playdate on January 4th. Ashleigh, Michelle, and Shelby came over to have lunch and hang out.

1 month

On January 3rd we took Madeline's 1 month picture next to her rabbit. We plan on doing this on the 3rd of every month to track her growth. Here she is 7lbs 8 oz... almost 2 lbs heavier than she was at birth.

I love my Daddy!

We always knew Ty would be a hands on daddy. I don't know who was having more fun on Madeline's activity mat!

Introducing Madeline to her crib

We got Madeline's crib at the end of December thanks to some generous Christmas gifts by our family. We were so excited that we had to get it all set up and take pictures of her in it with her "friends." We're not ready to move her into it just yet but it sure is a relief that it's ready for her when we are ready.

Madeline's jacket

Tyson and I fell in love with this bear jacket! We knew how cute Madeline would look in it. She, on the other hand, isn't so fond of it! I think that she already knows how embarrased she's going to be when we show her friends this picture when she's a teenager.

Madeline and her family

Madeline got to meet so many family members over the past few weeks. The Zelkovich clan came in from St. Louis and Missouri and New York so she got to meet her Uncle Evan, Aunt Jessica, cousins Carolyn and Jonathan, and her Great Grandma Lillian. She also got to meet her Uncle Jack and Uncle Trevor who were in town from school.

Cousins

The whole family came in for Christmas this year. Carolyn was great with Madeline. She's such a good helper! Jonathan didn't care quite as much (but in his defense, he is only 8 months!) although he knew there was another baby around when his mother tried to hold Madeline!

Dixie and Madeline

Well, it took Dixie a little longer, but she's finally come around to Madeline. Madeline has even gotten a piggy back ride from Dixie!

Going to Church

Madeline was a hit at Church when we went for the first time on Sunday, December 16th.

A Puppy and his Baby!

I think it's obvious from the pictures that Sarge loves Madeline. Dixie still isn't quite as sure so she hasn't posed for any pictures yet!

Newborn Pictures

Who knew finding the perfect outfit for Madeline's newborn pictures would be so difficult? We found lots of great stuff, but once again, everything was way too big! We finally found the cutest dress that looked super cute on her so we had to take pictures at home too!

Visiting Shelby Anne in the hospital the day she was born

It's crazy what two pounds can do. Madeline weighed 5lbs 11 oz at birth and four days later, Shelby was born weighing 7lbs 7 oz. I wish two pounds would make that big of a difference on me!

Baths

Madeline got her first bath and absolutely hated it! The next baths went a lot easier. I don't think she loves them now, but she'll at least put up with them without screaming!

Hands on Daddy!

Tyson is such a great daddy! He changes diapers, gives baths, and does basically anything Madeline could need (well, other than the feeding part) without even having to be asked. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful husband and Madeline could not have a better dad!

Madeline's Bassinet

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful, loving and supportive family. Tyson's mom and grandmother made this bassinet. It used to be the bassinet Tyson slept in just redone for Madeline.

Going home!

On the afternoon of December 4th, we got discharged from the hospital. I had gone looking for the perfect going home outfit for Madeline. Of course, I didn't anticipate that she'd be quite as small as she is so it was enormous (just like the rest of her clothes), but cute nonetheless!

In the hospital

We had lots of people that came to visit us (well really mainly to visit Madeline) while we were in the hospital. I'll spare all the pictures, but here are a few. Everything went so well while we were there that they discharged us 24 hours after Madeline's birth.

Madeline's Birthday

What a special gift we have just received! Madeline Ann Theilen came on December 3rd at 1:06pm weighing 5lbs 11oz. I was blessed with a short and easy labor!
